It makes me sad that even though I am quite literally an hour from Vancouver (with the exception of the border), I will not be seeing the Olympics live.
Sigh.
Also: watched the opening ceremony yesterday. When they showed the overviews of the mountains/water/islands, all I could think of is how much it looks EXACTLY like where I am right now. Awesome possum.
Bellingham Herald today said that 3 billion people watched the opening ceremonies. Three. BILLION. People.
Wow. |

| | jubilant | ] | Yesterday was so much fun! Since it was a federal holiday, Jasper had the day off, and because I was scheduled that way, I also had the day off. So, even though he never really wants to go anywhere, he went with me to Deception Pass! I neglected to remember that it WAS a holiday so it was incredibly busy, but it was also incredibly awesome.

I am psyched up to hopefully stop spending so much damn money.
When I went through my bank account and looked at all of the transactions, in the last month, I have spent over $320 on food. This is buying food and eating out. I am going to stop eating out so much.
My plan, once a week, I can pay for Pho 99, an XL 2 topping carry out from Pizza Time and ONE time for lunch at work (thats where I've been spending so much money).
This should cut costs down a lot. Might also drop the pizza from once a week, to once every two weeks. This is counting on me paying for everything, where Jasper might pay for a couple of things sometimes.
Given all of this:
Rent: ~$350/mon Health Insurance: ~$97/mon Gas Money: ~$100/mon Food Money: ~$200/mon (this includes grocery shopping and eating out)
Total: ~$747/mon
If I want to buy some things for me, not to exceed an extra $103 per mon, not to go over $850/mon total. This will save me $200/mon from what I was doing. Hopefully I'll continue getting 40 hrs/week, and will get my $661 twice a month still, so I should end up positive.
I need a job in case this one/for when this one ends, and I need a new place to live come Sept. 1. My life is still at a crossroads and its seeming to be an incredibly long one. I would like something that isn't temporary for awhile please. This is just stressing me out incredibly.
I thought I was supposed to have my life mostly figured out by the time I graduated college. I'm more confused than ever, though.
Super excited for Saturday, though! Going to go get dim sum with Jasper in Richmond and then going to go see Up at a movie theater in Langley, as opposed to a crappy movie theater in Bellingham! I've been looking forward to this for two weeks.
GAAH
Work from 12:30-9 today, though. I hate this shift. So freaking long. (And its raining! And I'm out in Garden! I wonder how many people will actually be there, lol). |

Just saw Fast and Furious. Hmm, how do I put this. Well, for starters, I've never seen any of the other movies (I never had a reason to; hell, I didn't have a reason too this time except that Jasper wanted to see it).
It was bad.
But it was entertaining.
It was like Twilight in a fucked up universe where it was bad but entertaining (that is always how I describe Twilight, and that is how I will describe Fast and Furious).
Sure, the action scenes were fucking awesome. There was fast driving, cool cars, lots of blow-y up things, and lots of shoot-y up things, but then the actors decide they want to attempt to act and it just kinda hurts the cause.
The action scenes drew me in, but the "romance" and "drama" and "plot" had me counting the ceiling tiles (there were ~198, if you even out the tiles that were cut oddly).
On rotten tomatoes, the rating is 25% for the critics, but for the RT community, it was 73%.
Most of the people on rottentomatoes must be testosterone-driven men.
(PS: Jordana Brewster is SMOKIN' HOT) |

Even though I'm not really into the anime-scene anymore. And even though I never really liked Fullmetal Alchemist to begin with, for some reason, the song Bratja forever makes me want to cry. |
